Why the mushroom ingredient?

My 12 yr old son had a severe allergic reaction after eating this at a friend’s house. They were aware of his allergy to mushrooms but never would have never thought a granola bar would have mushroom extract in it. As you market to those with allergies, I was surprised your ingredient list is not available or published on the product page.

We are terribly sad to hear about your experience, however we are grateful for you taking the time to write to us and express your concerns.
We know that allergies can be very sensitive and a daily struggle for many. With that in mind, we list all our claims and ingredients on the packaging. To align with our values of bringing you a healthier choice of snacks on the shelf, we add in nutrients from vegetables to give those on the go a little added boost!

We do not claim safe for mushrooms, they have always been labelled on our products, we have also now added an image of our vegetables to our packaging to make it more apparent that our products are not just granola! Please note that the majority of our products contain shiitake mushrooms for their vitamin D. We are sad to learn that this impacts you this way.

We are listening to and documenting all feedback as our consumer base is very important to us. If you have any further questions or concerns, we would be more than happy to answer them.
